I make sure the basics are understood and we can move on to more vigorous training
I am a 32 year old black male. Played sports majority of my life; both football and basketball. I run and jog for cardio as well. I have been coaching and running youth basketball programs for the last 3-5 years between Atlanta GA and Virginia. I played HS basketball and community college hoops in Virginia. I was in the Air Force. After I went to Virginia Commonwealth University and studied Sports Management. I also picked up a degree from Georgia State. I suffered a torn meniscus injury years ago in my earlier youth days but strive to continue to teach and train youth basketball. I am dedicated and it is my passion. I have a daughter who is very much into athletics. Health is wealth. Focused on teamwork, hard work, discipline and self control. I have helped kids from ages (4-18) take their skills to the next level. From group sessions, team meetings, and (1v1); I have found a way to get the best out of each athlete. Helping them understand the dynamics of the game at an early age while incorporating real life scenarios and situations to the game. The main goal is to win but do not get lost into winning. Building a winning culture takes time and does not happen overnight. I make sure the basics are understood and we can move on to more vigorous training. Being in shape is a key factor. Healthy diets and plenty of water. I take each athlete and evaluate their strengths and weaknesses to get the best out of them each session.
